The rating affects all of the District’s outstanding debt, including a refunding note issue recently adopted by the Board of Trustees that will save over $359,000 in future debt service. Moody’s cited several factors for the rating, including the sizable tax base, sound financial position and a manageable debt profile. “We are pleased to be able to significantly reduce our future operating expenditures as a result of the favorable rating and subsequent refunding” said Virgil “Corky” Corless, Board of Trustees President. “This is great news considering our current economic climate!” The notes were originally issued in 2002 to construct and equip stations at 1020 West Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills and 2440 Harnish Drive in Algonquin. # # #
